My care philosophy

I was drawn to the field of pediatric hematology, oncology, and bone marrow transplant after my own experience as a pediatric hematology patient. The care and compassion I received as a child and young adult guides my own practice as a physician assistant (PA). Some of my favorite parts of my job are meeting new patients and families, learning about their lives and experiences, and explaining why they are being seen in our department and what we will do to make their stay with us as happy and comfortable as possible. I strive to ensure that children and families understand what is happening throughout every step of their care.

Experience and background

I am interested in the fields of pediatric hematology, oncology, and bone marrow transplant. I am also interested in acute care medicine and enjoy troubleshooting medical issues as they arise. I think that patients with hematologic, oncologic, and immunologic conditions are incredibly brave and I feel honored to be a part of their medical care.
