My care philosophy

I believe that empathy and a caring approach is key for a doctor and patient relationship. Communication and education are important, especially, prior a cardiac catheterization procedure when a parent is trusting their kid in my hands.

Experience and background

Diagnosis, management and treatment of congenital heart disease with a minimally invasive approach through cardiac catheterization. Lead one of the busiest Pulmonary Vein Stenosis Programs in the country with multiple ongoing related clinical research and technology development for better treat this population. Develop new imaging techniques for cardiac catheterizations with minimal radiation and contrast doses using all available tools from our modern and cutting edge technology.

My scholarly pursuits encompass advancements within the cardiac catheterization laboratory, with a focus on cutting-edge technologies such as 3D fusion imaging, 3D printing derived from 3D rotational angiograms, and the integration of Virtual/Extended Reality in catheterization procedures. Additionally, I am deeply interested in exploring a low-radiation approach for complex percutaneous interventions, aiming to reduce contrast and fluoroscopy exposure for both patients and catheterization laboratory personnel. Furthermore, my research aims to develop of alternative imaging modalities tailored for intricate congenital heart diseases (CHD) like pulmonary vein stenosis. I am dedicated to exploring systematic management strategies, encompassing both medical and interventional approaches, to address the complexities associated with pulmonary vein stenosis in CHD patients.
