It's a unique privilege getting to trying to work with my patients during the vulnerable and often overwhelming situation that lead them to the hospital. I try to keep the idea that no child exists in a vacuum, and that in addition to supporting and empowering the patient, I need to also support and empower those that help care for the child at home. And that its this combined focus that give the child the best chance at recovering and thriving moving forward.
