People might think dizziness and imbalance in children aren’t serious, but research suggests they are often caused by treatable medical conditions. At the Pediatric Balance and Vestibular Disorders Clinic, we treat those conditions so kids can get back to feeling like themselves.
Our team specializes in diagnosing and treating children of all ages who suffer from dizziness or imbalance.
About the Pediatric Balance and Vestibular Disorders Clinic
The Pediatric Balance and Vestibular Disorders Clinic team includes specialists in ear, nose and throat care (otolaryngology), neurology, audiology and physical therapy. We work together to figure out what’s causing your child’s symptoms. Then, we develop a personalized care plan that can include age-appropriate medications, lifestyle changes or physical therapy.
Before we care for your child in our clinic, they will have vestibular testing with our audiology specialists. After this evaluation, your care team may recommend follow up with our clinic or other options. If you are traveling a long distance, we may be able to schedule vestibular testing on the same day as care in our balance clinic.

What to expect at the Pediatric Balance and Vestibular Disorders Clinic
Before coming to our clinic, your child will have vestibular testing with our audiology experts. Depending on the results of these tests, your care team may recommend our clinic if your child could benefit from seeing multiple specialists. Sometimes, we may recommend seeing just one of our specialists.
In our clinic, you and your child will meet a team of experts from otolaryngology, audiology, physical therapy and neurology. Our care team performs a thorough medical exam and reviews your child’s vestibular results and medical history. We may also perform a neurologic evaluation, balance assessment and hearing test.
Your child sees all the necessary specialists in one day for an accurate and convenient diagnosis and treatment plan. You should expect to spend about three hours at the clinic for your appointment.
