Medical Day Treatment Services We Provide

A school tailor-made for students who need to be close to care so families don’t have to choose between education and health. Here, they go hand-in-hand.

Through the Medical Day Treatment Program, students have regular access to experts and integrated services to meet their unique medical, schooling and mental health needs.  

Where curriculum meets care  

Our program runs Monday through Friday from 7:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. through the calendar year and includes: 

Academic programming 

  • Daily classroom support and specialized learning plans during the school year 
  • Year-round programming, including summer 
  • Community outings 

Clinical care 

  • Comprehensive evaluation and individualized treatment plans 
  • Therapeutic setting 
  • Daily nursing support 
  • Psychiatric consultation, as needed 
  • Individual and group mental health therapy 

Family and team support  

  • Monthly family meetings with education and medical teams 
  • Dedicated family support throughout treatment 
  • Coordinated transition planning with area school districts when a student transitions to a more traditional school setting 

Daily needs 

  • Breakfast, lunch, beverages and snacks 
  • Medically appropriate door-to-door transportation 

Health needs that are common in medical day treatment 

Our team provides supportive medical and mental health care so students can immerse themselves in typical school-day activities, from academics to art classes to field trips. Common diagnoses include, but are not limited to:

Our classrooms are staffed by professional educators and paraprofessionals, medical specialists, mental health experts, child life specialists and creative arts therapists to ensure days are filled with enriching and therapeutic activities
